Adams Employees Collect Over 1,600 Items for Brown County Food Basket

By on Jun 18, 2018 in News and Press |

The employees of Adams Fiber held a food drive in May to benefit a local food pantry.  Employees split into teams for a friendly competition to provide the most possible benefit to the pantry. A total of 1,642 items were collected for donation, an increase of over 200 items from the last drive the company held.

The winning team collected over 34 items per team member and was given the opportunity to choose the organization receiving donations. The Brown County Food Basket was selected as a worthwhile recipient near several communities served by Adams. Employees felt the timing was perfect to assist the organization since most group collections are held only around the holidays, but summer is often a time when many families struggle with children at home for all their meals.
